Hello folks,

Just joined the lower limb society. Have been practicing in Tampa since 1982.
Day has been very but very gratifying. Just fit a prep on a new tans tib. Patient did great.
After 30 years of practice I still get a charge when I see that ear to ear smile from the patient
when they take there first steps. Isn't this a great profession.

Hope all is well with the world,

Olaf "Mick" Holm, CO, LPO

This program is run by engineering students and staff at LeTourneau University in Texas. The basic idea is to train local people in Senegal, Bangladesh, and Kenya (to name a few) on how to build the knee from…

ICF

As part of a review of the ISPO meeting in Germany, one of the magazines mentioned the ICF's (International Classifications of Function).  There was a quote from John Michael saying they will be important and we should check into them as a profession.  They're interesting, here's a link:  http://www.who.int/classifications/icf/en/
